The Atlanta Urban Debate League is committed to providing excellent debate education programs, services, and opportunities to diverse students, educators, and members of the community!
The Atlanta Urban Debate League (AUDL) believes strongly in the power of community. Volunteers help the AUDL provide access to debate education to hundreds of debaters, giving them the critical thinking, speaking, and research skills to advocate for themselves and their communities.
After registering as a judge on Emory OPEN, please be sure to complete onboarding. It must be completed once per school year. Emory students. staff, and faculty should submit onboarding materials through Canvas; please submit materials here if you are not an Emory-affiliated judge.
If you are judging on behalf of a competing school, you do NOT have to register on Emory OPEN or complete this onboarding. The school’s coach should communicate all relevant information to their judges.
All volunteer judges must complete a background check conducted by HireRight, which lasts for 4 years. Click here for details on the background verification process. The background verification process takes several business days to complete, and the links provided by HireRight expire, so please do not wait to initiate the process.
